JANE LING
Jane started out as a Chemistry teacher, a completely different field of choice compared to the one that she is pursuing as of now. Jane loves to paint during her free time. Art had always been something she found intriguing but due to her career as a teacher, she never seem to have the time to appreciate or fully immerse herself in it. After her retirement, she facilitated her interest and passion in art. Her works are inspired by all aspects of the great outdoors, flora and fauna. She started with Chinese ink painting under the tutelage of the famous local artist the late Mr. Chai Hon Chong and the late Mr. Chin Kee. She then pursued Chinese brush painting under the guidence of Mr. Sim Chiap Hin and acrylic painting with Mr. David Chew. Jane is a member of Sarawak Artists Society and Urban Sketchers Kuching. She actively participates in joint exhibitions like Art for Conservation with Wildlife Conservation Society, International Hornbill Conference 2017, Rimba Sarawak Art Exhibition and Colours of Kuching.
