David is known for being one of the rarely seen Abstract Expressionist artists in Sarawak. Trained by established artists in Impressionist painting since childhood, David developed into an Abstract Expressionist since 2000. David uses the drip-and-pour painting technique, known as Action Painting, which is rare in this region. His art vision to “make the invisible visible” - allows his art creations to touch every soul and creating awareness in every individual’s life journey. He portrays Sarawak’s rich culture and heritage through his abstract painting aimed to bring the diversity culture values in Sarawak to the world. Being and artist and a corporate leader on the side, he incorporates both strengths and developed an impactful leadership & team-building program called Art Jamming for Leadership & Team-building which utilizes art as a medium to encourage team-building and develop strong leadership skills. David is the President of the Sarawak Artists Society (2017-2018) and also a member of the Malaysia National Visual Arts Gallery. He participated in various art projects and exhibitions domestically and internationally, such as the International Art Camp in Poland, Exhibition in National Arts Gallery, just to name a few.
